The Harvest Tree

Each fall, the old tree was brought down from the attic and placed in its wooden “Harvest” box. Instead of shiny ornaments, it was decorated with handmade stockings, dried gourds and simple things gathered from around the homestead. A tiny broom and gathering basket sit below, waiting for another busy harvest day.
